Two cargo ships collided in the North Sea, off the coast of Germany, on the night of Monday October 23 to Tuesday October 24. For reasons still unknown, the two ships collided and caught fire. The provisional toll is one dead and four missing. The smallest cargo ship flew the British flag, the longest was to reach Spain. The weather conditions do not facilitate rescue.
Sweden hopes to join NATO
Sweden still hopes to join NATO as soon as possible. After 17 months of blockage, Turkish President Erdogan presented the Swedish membership request to his Parliament. If the Turkish deputies give the green light, it will still be necessary to obtain Hungary’s agreement for Sweden to join the Atlantic Alliance.
