Yocheved Lifschitz, 85, says she was treated well after a very brutal kidnapping on a motorcycle. “The guys beat me on the way there. An agreement was about to be reached
The two octogenarians had been kidnapped in the same kibbutz, with their husbands, still hostages. But where were they held? No doubt in one of the countless Hamas underground passages, according to the freed hostage. This release comes five days after two American hostages were released. But some hoped for much more. Since Sunday, the American press has been reporting the release of around fifty binational or foreign hostages. Has a bigger exchange between Israel and Hamas failed? An agreement was about to be reached. But according to several diplomatic sources cited in the press, the Hebrew State ultimately refused to deliver the fuel demanded by Hamas, in exchange for the hostages.
