A white march in tribute to Soucayna, the 23-year-old student who died from a stray bullet in Marseille, was organized on Saturday October 21 in Marseille.
In the procession, mothers, friends from college, friends from the neighborhood, neighbors of Soucayna, a young 23-year-old student, collateral victim of drug trafficking. “Even if I don’t know her, I am here for her, and so as not to forget”, explains an emotional woman. At the head of the march, the young girl’s mother. “Losing your child like this, there’s nothing worse than that. I hate it”laments Soucayna’s mother.
“The Marseillais must mobilize”
In Marseille, everyone passing by knows the first name of Soucayna, hit by a stray bullet that went through the wall of her room. “The people of Marseillais, the French must mobilize, they must say stop this violence”says a woman. “We live in an open prison”, according to one man. Since the start of the year in Marseille, 43 people have lost their lives amid drug banditry.
