It had been 18 years since the Rolling Stones last released a record of original songs. Their new album “Hackney Diamonds” comes out Friday October 20. Something to delight early fans.
They’ve been waiting for this for 18 years, so it’s a celebration for Rolling Stones fans who have been handpicked to listen to the latest album titled Hackney Diamonds. “We are carried away, we had a great time, the Stones are where we expect them. (…) We are not disappointed and we want more”assure the fans. At a press conference in a London theater, Mick Jagger spoke: “We said to ourselves that we were going to make an album that we really liked. Some will love it, some maybe not.”did he declare.
An album with surprises
On this new disc, there are a few surprises, like a track recorded with Lady Gaga, a collaboration with Paul McCartney, but always a sound that belongs only to them. “It’s pure and hard Stones, we knew it from the first single which came out a few weeks ago, with a big drum attack, and a voice coming from hyper space”, according to Belkacem Bahlouli, editor-in-chief of Rolling Stones magazine. Fans are now waiting for a new tour.
