After being elected Mister Pays de la Loire in 2019, Alexis Villain launched into reality TV and took part in Princes of love in 2019. However, since his participation, he has only experienced difficult times, especially after his time in prison. In 2021, the young man was sentenced to three years in prison for domestic violence against his girlfriend.
After his period in detention, Alexis Villain gave an interview to Sam Zirah to discuss the accusations of violence brought against him. Despite his conviction, the former candidate of Princes of love seemed unaffected by his misbehavior. He stated : “At worst, what is a slap? It depends on the slap you give… It’s okay, we have to stop the stupid things”, in February 2023, during his appearance in front of the journalist. The latter did not hesitate to question his guest: “A slap is very serious, it’s not funny. Violence against women is punishable by law. If you witness it or are a victim, report it and talk about it by calling 3919.” A reaction that makes Alexis Villain hilarious.

During this same interview, the former reality TV candidate also made a disturbing statement: “Anyway, if I don’t get back the woman I was in love with… I’ll write my last book and end my life…”. “There, I’m doing everything she asked me, and if I don’t find love again in two or three years… without that, I can’t live, so I’m writing my second book and committing suicide . That’s it, end of story. At least people will stop saying that I’m bad. I lost my mother, I lost my girlfriend, I went to prison… So, for me, it’s good at one point. I experienced everything I wanted to experience.”, he continued, shocking Sam Zirah.
On Thursday October 19, 2023, the journalist relayed a worrying message published by Alexis Villaina few days earlier on his Instagram account. The message suggesting that he could have taken action. “My last message, in life, there is a time to love and it is with a little joy that I want to remember our shared moments but my sorrow takes up too much space. It is time for me to leave . Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you all for supporting and loving me. Farewell.”it is written while the ex-reality TV candidate replaced his username with “dead user”.
