A quarter of a century for Camellia Sinensis

This fall, the Camellia Sinensis tea house is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The opportunity to discover the brand new premises of the mother boutique, rue Émery in Montreal, inaugurated last summer, with a concept focused on discovery and exchanges around tea, or to go to the two other boutiques (Marché Jean -Talon and Saint-Roch district, in Quebec). Many workshops will follow one another in the coming weeks; in addition to sessions devoted to certain types of leaves (for example, a workshop around wulong teas, October 29 in Montreal and Quebec), training is also offered on pairings with scotches (November 2 in Montreal) or the use of tea in creating cocktails (December 2 in Montreal).

Notice to chocolate lovers: to mark its quarter century, Camellia Sinensis has teamed up with the artisanal chocolate factory Dicitte, the time to make 1000 bars called Lady Camellia Wulong, a 67% dark chocolate made from cocoa from Piura, in Peru , and wulong tea from Fujian (China). Made in a limited edition, this high-end chocolate demonstrates a beautiful depth of taste, with a pronounced attack and delightful aromas of roasted tea emerging on the finish. As a bonus, to imitate Charlie and the chocolate factorya unique golden ticket was slipped into one of the packages, offering the chance to win a year’s worth of tea.
