this unexpected collaboration for a good cause!

From Monday October 16, 2023, 270,000 schools will participate in the 20th edition of the ELA Dictation, which aims to raise students’ awareness of solidarity, respect for difference, and fraternity from a united cause. The ELA association, which launched the action, is committed to the fight against leukodystrophies (very serious genetic diseases which affect 3 to 6 children per week in France). She is supported in particular by the former Miss France Sophie Thalmann, since 1998, and who participated in “12 coups de midi”, this Monday October 16, 2023, on TF1.

Brigitte Macron launches the operation

In schools, stars have dedicated themselves to reading the text to schoolchildren. Personalities such as Soprano (our photos, in Marseille), Amel Bent and Camille Cerf, but also and above all the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron, former teacher. She was in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, at the Lemercier school for the start of the operation. Those who were unable to go to the schools (Maïmouna Doucouré, Michel Cymes, Léa Salamé and Thierry Lhermitte) also recorded the dictation on connected speakers equipped with Alexa (Amazon), to allow students to families to do dictation from home!

This text this year is that of Sabyl Ghoussoub, writer who won the Goncourt prize for high school students, who wrote “A world without borders”to discover below.

The dictation of 2023

“I never look back. I force myself to move forward, to continue on my path despite difficulties, fatigue, annoyance. Sometimes songs give me the energy to continue. Sometimes it’s books, films, photographs, paintings, sculptures. They help me to console myself, to get up, to recharge my batteries. I say: “I never look back” and yet, it is my past that has shaped me . My wounds have become my best friends. I have learned to know them, accept them, tame them. They no longer frighten me, they carry me, they elevate me. Since then I no longer run, I fly. I I don’t have wings, but I have words. They allow me to rest on the branch of an olive tree, to admire the lavender fields, to be dazzled by the seas and oceans, to reach the highest peaks of the mountains, to marvel at the desert, to approach the sun, to touch the blue of the sky, to lie on the Moon. I am not a bird but it’s just like, I am a poet. With or without sneakers, I cross a world without borders.”
