There are thousands of refugees in this city. Israel pushed them to go there after evacuating northern Gaza. The Israeli army says it has eliminated two Hamas leaders. On the ground, troops surround and fire on Gaza City. The conflict extends to the Lebanese border, where clashes take place with Hezbollah, the Lebanese Islamist movement.
