In a few hours, the Gare de Lyon, the Château de Versailles and the Louvre Museum were the subject of a bomb threat on Saturday October 14.
In a few minutes, 15,000 visitors to the Louvre Museum were evacuated on Saturday October 14. This measure was taken for security reasons after a bomb threat, according to police. The museum was cordoned off by law enforcement and remained closed all day.
The Palace of Versailles and the Gare de Lyon also affected
Hours later, another bomb threat was detected after receiving an anonymous message. This time, it was the Palace of Versailles (Yvelines) and its park which had to be evacuated. No information regarding a reopening tomorrow has been released. One of the halls of the Gare de Lyon in Paris also experienced this situation, due to an abandoned object. “It was standard procedure“, indicates the SNCF. The station hall was able to reopen a few minutes later.
