Living room in the city | The Montreal Book Fair unveils its activities in the city

While waiting for the return of the Book Fair to the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the Salon dans la ville will begin its third edition on November 10 with discussions around literature, performances and workshops throughout the metropolis.


Around fifty activities are already on the program for the event and others should be added before then.

You can follow, among other things, playwriting workshops with Afrofeminist author Marie Louise Bibish Mumbu at the Maison de la culture in Côte-des-Neiges, the guest district of this 46e edition of the Montreal Book Fair. At the Library of the Cultural and Community Center of Montreal-North, a 6 to 8 in the company of North Montreal authors is planned for the opening evening.

Among the participating bookstores, L’Euguélionne will hold a round table on the literature of the future with Philippe Néméh-Nombré, Élodie Comtois and Névé Dumas. Story times, readings and live manga drawings are also on the menu for the youngest in Little Italy and Hochelaga.

The Salon dans la ville will be held during the two weeks preceding the Book Fair at the Palais des Congrès, which should unveil its program by the end of October.
