Filming on Ricardo Trogi’s latest autobiographical film begins Tuesday and will take place over several months in Montreal and Quebec, but also in Morocco and Nepal.
After nineteen eighty one, 1987 And 1991Trogi is now working on the film 1995in which he will recount his experience in the Race destination world from Radio-Canada.
Jean-Carl Boucher will reprise his role as Ricardo, while Sandrine Bisson and Claudio Colangelo will return in the roles of mother and father. Rose Adam, who plays Ricardo’s sister, will also be among them.
Shadi Janho, Myriam Gaboury, Mickaël Gouin and Olivier Aubin are added to the cast, among others.
In this new story, Ricardo seems to have abandoned his dream of becoming an artist until his application was accepted for the 1994-1995 edition of the Race destination world.
The film will present him during his stay in Egypt, where he will have to face several difficulties in producing a report on excision.
1995Ricardo Trogi’s ninth feature film, is scheduled to hit theaters next summer.
Ricardo Trogi has received several awards and nominations for his autobiographical films. He notably won the prizes for best film and best direction for 1991 during the 2019 Québec-Cinéma gala.
