This Monday, October 9, Israel responds after the surprise attack carried out on Saturday by Palestinian fighters. “More than 500 targets” were struck overnight, according to the Israeli army and fighting is still underway in Israel around the Gaza Strip. More than 1,100 people died, including around 700 Israelis and 400 Palestinians. Most are civilians. After 39 days of hunger strike against the A69 motorway project between Castres and Toulouse, environmental activist Thomas Brail will begin a thirst strike this Monday which will put his life in great danger. 1,500 scientists, some of whom specialize in land use planning and climate change, ask in an open letter to the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron to abandon a project which “does not make sense”.
And then the ticket office for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will open at 10 a.m. 2.8 million tickets will be on sale to attend the 549 events, such as para-cycling, sitting volleyball and blind football, which will take place from August 28 to September 8 in the same competition venues as the Games Olympics.
