Maëlle returns with a second album that “is close to her heart”

Asked about her victory on the show The Voice, Maëlle assures that she was “the first girl to win after seven seasons”. “It’s always nice, but a little frustrating to say that it’s a little late”, she continues. A year later, everything is moving very quickly with the release of his first album. Three years later, the artist returns with his second album “Red string”. The first feedback is very good, especially from the singer’s fans. The album was written and composed alone by the artist. “This is close to my heart, it’s me who have it sewn”, specifies Maëlle.

Need to take a step back

Asked about the need to take a step back and take more than three years to release a new album, the singer specifies that she “needed to take some time”. “I‘was very lucky (…) but I think I really needed faplay my songs, find the textures I wanted (…) now I feel ready to defend my songs. When everything is going very quickly, I needed to take a step back from myself”, adds the artist. “I was full of doubt, but now I feel more in tune with myself”, concludes Maëlle.
