A 14-year-old student, armed with two knives, stabbed five people on Thursday, September 28, in an establishment in southern Spain, in Andalusia, police announced. He was then arrested. According to the city police Jerez de la Fronterathe teenager stabbed three teachers and two students several times shortly after the start of classes.
Police did not provide details on the extent of the injuries. But, according to Spanish media, a teacher was seriously injured in the eye, while the other victims were slightly injured.
According to the Spanish public media RTVE, the teacher injured in the eye “will have to undergo eyelid surgery.” THE “two other teachers and one of the students were transferred to Jerez hospital to be treated for superficial and minor injuries”reports the Spanish television channel Antena 3.
The minor arrested was “transferred to the Jerez de la Frontera police station, where he remains in protective custody until the report is completed and made available to the juvenile prosecutor’s office.”reports the media RTVE.
