The health pass will become, in a few weeks, a vaccination pass. Only vaccinated people will be able to access cinemas, bars or restaurants. “I understand the measures they want to take, but I think we are pulling a bit too much on the rope with all this”, says a man. The objective is to convince the last refractories to be vaccinated. “The vaccination pass is a disguised form of compulsory vaccination. But (…) preventing people from going to bars, restaurants, places which receive the public if they are not vaccinated, it is more effective than fining them 100 euros when they are caught in the street “, declared the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran.

The vaccination pass could be extended to means of transport. The government has scheduled debates in Parliament in early January to discuss it. “It may be a shame, but it is the only way. Now we can consider that in the name of freedoms we let the virus circulate, but we will count the deaths for several more years”, estimates Professor Yves Buisson, president of the Covid-19 cell of the National Academy of Medicine.
