On September 5, 2012, in a forest parking lot in Haute-Savoie, a shooting left four dead and one injured. “A real carnage”, according to the gendarmes. While in 2022, the file was transferred to the new unsolved cases unit, “Sensitive Cases” retraces the multiple avenues explored by the police.
This is the cold case that has kept France in suspense for eleven years: the Chevaline killings, a quadruple murder that occurred on September 5, 2012. Three members of a British family of Iraqi origin, on vacation in the Alps, and a French cyclist out for a ride in the region are killed by several bullets to the head. The young daughters of the English couple are the two survivors of this still unresolved tragedy.
Spying ? Revenge ? Conspiracy?
Who was the target of this drama? From Iraq to the United States, from Switzerland to England, there are numerous hypotheses. Is this a story of industrial espionage, family revenge, an international conspiracy or a gratuitous crime? In September 2022, the case was transferred to the new Division of Unsolved Cases (DiANE).
“Sensitive Affairs”, presented by Fabrice Drouelle, retraces the multiple avenues explored by the police over eleven years. In this documentary, unpublished testimonies from relatives of the family, police officers and journalists delve into the heart of an investigation carried out in the four corners of the world.
