Volodymyr Zelensky continues his visit to North America. The Ukrainian president arrived on Thursday, September 21, in the evening, in Ottawa, Canada, where he is due to give a speech to Parliament on Friday. Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assured the Ukrainian people of “unwavering support” from his country. American tanks soon delivered to Ukraine. Joe Biden assured on Thursday that the first Abrams tanks would arrive in Ukraine “next week”. The American president also announced that he had approved a new tranche of military assistance to kyiv, estimated by the Pentagon at some 325 million dollars (305 million euros).
Joe Biden wants to continue helping kyiv. The tenant of the White House showed his confidence with a view to a vote in favor of continuing American aid to Ukraine. “I am counting on the discernment of the American Congress. There is no alternative”he assured, while certain Republican elected officials are opposed to the validation of a new aid package for Ukraine.
No missiles for Ukraine. The United States has refused a repeated request from kyiv: the delivery of long-range ATACMS missiles. However, Joe Biden “has not excluded this possibility in the future”assured White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
