The AP-HP, the public hospitals of Paris, should succeed in recruiting 20% more nurses this year, which should make it possible to open 400 beds. It is mainly a matter of catching up. How did the AP-HP manage to attract these new recruits? Explanations.
Vazoli Randriamananony, a 31-year-old nurse, began her career in a Parisian hospital, in a cardiology department that she dreamed of joining. The start of a new life for this former converted saleswoman. “It’s a discipline that I like, because it combines intensive care, so it’s still quite moving, and there’s also the hospitalization side, and so there’s versatility”she explains.
Study Grant Contract
At the end of her course, the nurse benefited from a study grant contract, 10,000 euros net. In return, she agreed to work at least 18 months in this hospital. Like her, new nurses will strengthen the ranks in cardiology. Recruitment which allows the reopening of 16 additional beds. Since the Covid crisis, this service had lost them, i.e. a third of its reception capacity.
