It’s a blitzkrieg attack in broad daylight. Around twenty individuals, faces masked, have just entered a luxury boutique in Los Angeles, in the United States. In the space of a few seconds, thieves take as many clothes or bags as possible, without worrying about customers and sellers. Some people have a hard time getting rid of the locks still attached to the displays. The burglary lasted less than a minute for damage estimated at nearly 300,000 euros.
A specialized investigation service created
In recent months, this type of attack has increased in Los Angeles, which has become the capital of “flash robs”, express flights. The stores of a major Italian brand and a famous fashion designer were notably robbed. Faced with increasing violence, traders say they are abandoned. A few weeks ago, the mayor of Los Angeles announced the creation of a specialized investigation service.
