On the occasion of the state visit of Charles III, Wednesday September 20, a sumptuous reception is given at the Château de Versailles (Yvelines). Distinguished guests are expected. 19/20 info takes stock with journalist Naoufel El Kaouafi, live from Versailles.
“The guests follow one another. We saw the actor Hugh Grant, the host Stéphane Bern or even the former Minister of Culture Jack Lang and the actress Carole Bouquet. In total, nearly 170 guests will pass through this royal court. The gates are opened exceptionally for the occasion. They are heading towards the red carpet”, describes journalist Naoufel El Kaouafi, live from Versailles. He specifies that the guests “are welcomed by the orchestra of the Republican Guard”.
A sumptuous dinner
“The guests will have to wait a few moments, particularly in the Hercule room, where they will be offered refreshments. They will wait until 7:55 p.m., the time at which Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron will arrive, five minutes before the king and queen”, explains the journalist. He completes: “They will head inside the castle for a brief concert by a Swedish violinist.” The dinner will be sumptuous, concocted by three French chefs.
