This Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Pascale de La Tour du Pin hosted a new issue of the show PAF on C8. For the occasion, Cyril Hanouna’s new recruit received Magloire on set. During his interview with the former BFM TV journalist, the TV man spoke at length about his recent participation in Fort Boyard. According to him, a hilarious passage of him, blocked in the middle of the ordeal because of his behind, was cut during editing.
“Fort Boyard is a family show, we cut the moment where I couldn’t get through because my butt is slightly rounded. My butt doesn’t get through, I say to Philippe (Etchebest, editor’s note) ‘Push my butt’, but Guillaume Ramain preferred to cut it during editing. It was rather funny and we came out well”, he explained before tackling a more painful subject. Indeed, the famous host has been a victim of fatphobia throughout his career.

Magloire victim of grossophobia
A few years ago, a well-known personality in the media world whose name he did not want to reveal was particularly cruel. “I join a major radio station, I’m not going to give the name, and the guy takes the liberty of saying to me ‘You haven’t lost weight… Have you eaten the dog again?!’ When I heard that, I was like a little 7-year-old boy, I could have cried.” Hurt by these nasty remarks, Magloire is still proud to have been one of the representatives of the cause. “This is daily violence that had no name. Fortunately, thanks to Hélène Bidard and all our action, the word has entered the dictionary. And I say stop. The obese have this double punishment of being sick.”
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Magloire has spoken out on the subject. In July 2018, he explained, in an interview with Komitid.fr, that he “realized that I could be black, homosexual, an animator, a former animator without a job, drive my car badly, park it very badly… I will never have as many insults as for the fact that I am fat”. Upsetting confidences.
