It has now been several years since Guillaume Canet does not hide its environmental commitment like his companion Marion Cotillard. In his new film Acid, the actor plays a father facing acid rain and climate catastrophe. It is thanks to this that he was still able to raise awareness among viewers during his appearance in C to you this Tuesday, September 19.
During this intervention, Guillaume Canet notably revealed that her children were just as sensitive to their environment as their parents. “They don’t necessarily yell at me. But I saw them yell at someone who had thrown their cigarette on the ground in the street, because children have that conscience. Today, they don’t need of us to form their own idea. They talk about it at school, they see things on TV, they hear people”told the father of Marcel and Louise.

If he was injured by criticisms surrounding the last part of Asterix of which he was the director and where he played the famous Gaul, Guillaume Canet shines more often for his successful roles. Unlike Jean Dujardin or Omar Sy, Marion Cotillard’s companion did not want to spread across the Atlantic although he is a fan of American cinema from the 70s. “You didn’t want to go any further, we offered you the opportunity to produce big productions“, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine pointed out to him.
Guillaume Canet confirmed before justifying himself: “Yes, I didn’t feel comfortable but the experience of Blue Rise had a big impact on me because the fact of not being able to talk to the extras without being fined, the end of all that stuff that we know.. ; It was quite special“. He pursues : “I never had this American dream, even as an actor. I was offered things. I made films elsewhere (…) I didn’t feel in my element. I I don’t feel comfortable, there is something in the functioning, in the teams…”
“Maybe I’m not strong enough to do all the work around it. I worked a lot in France to get there and at one point I didn’t want to start all over again. there, doing castings again”, noted the actor who has lost nothing given his journey here.
