A new frozen labyrinth to go skating this winter

Check your calendar and go get your skates sharpened! The Éco-Odyssée aquatic labyrinth in Wakefield, in the Outaouais region, is transformed this winter into a large labyrinth of ice for skaters.

During the summer, Éco-Odyssée offers canoe, pedal boat or SUP adventures in the heart of a swamp, in a veritable labyrinth of canals with 64 intersections.

It will officially transform this winter into a maze of ice trails to be covered on skates. In all, some 5 km of trails will be developed in the swamp and in the forests and ecosystems it crosses. You can walk there for 2 or 3 hours, depending on the ticket chosen.

The opening is scheduled for December 18, 2021. The labyrinth will then be open every day until January 9, then every weekend until March 6, 2022.

The cost of the activity is $ 20 for adults, $ 15 for children under 14, and it’s free for children under 2. (If you carpool four people in the same car, you will get a $ 5 discount).

On site: snack bar, sanitary block and skate sharpening service. You can also rent a pod-type hut to spend the night in the surrounding hills and extend the getaway.

Places for skating are limited; it is better to hurry to reserve.
