“I am the only actress in the world to say she is homosexual, to have said it.” On the set of the show “What a time!” from France 2, Saturday September 16, Muriel Robin delivered a long testimony denouncing homophobia in the cinema industry. “Name an actor or actress in the world who has had a great career when they are homosexual, there are none!”affirmed the actress, ensuring that she knew “French gay actors who keep silent, otherwise we will never put a woman in their arms again.”
“This means that when you are homosexual, you are not desirable, you are not penetrablecontinued the comedian. And if we cannot be penetrated into this society and into cinema, we are worthless.” Muriel Robin recounted her own experience, explaining that she “Cried every day all the tears of [son] body” and have “thirty years” starred in only two comedies. “Producers and directors must tell young actors and actresses [homosexuels] that there’s no point in them doing this job, they won’t make films”she added, concluding: “Let us tell them that they don’t leave it for thirty years.”
