Finally a first trailer for the Aquaman sequel

After multiple delays and numerous production challenges, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is finally on its way to theaters.

The first trailer for the sequel to the 2018 film, a billionaire at the global box office, was revealed at midday on Thursday, just over three months before its December 20 release.

James Wan (Furious 7, Saw) is back in the director’s chair, as Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles.

Amber Heard, who lost her defamation case against her estranged husband Johnny Depp last year, is also in the credits as Mera, but we only see her for a fraction of a second during this trailer for 2 minutes 30.

The story of Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, continues as he is now a father and king of Atlantis. Stronger than ever thanks to the Black Trident, Black Manta desires to end the reign of his sworn enemy and destroy everything he holds dear in order to avenge his father. However, the power of the Black Trident threatens the entire world and Aquaman will have to get help from his brother Orm, fallen king of Atlantis.
