They will appear from September 15 at the Pau Assize Court (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). Three years after the events, Véronique’s pain is still raw. She explains “isolate oneself” in a forest to cry and scream. “I can try to see it because we loved going there”she confides. She says the trial will help her begin to grieve. The trial is expected to last five days. The two men are being prosecuted for willful violence resulting in death without the intention of causing it. They face up to 20 years in prison.
