“Whoever watches the series will never know if it’s something that happened or not,” says Laurent Tapie about the biopic on his father Bernard Tapie

Series “Tapie” is released on the Netflix platform on Wednesday September 13. The only problem is that the family did not want a television adaptation to be made about Bernard Tapie. Laurent Tapie was only able to watch the episodes two days before the series was released. “I think Netflix was afraid that if we reacted badly, we would take action. They waited until it was extremely late. They were wrong”specifies Laurent Tapie, Tuesday September 12. “I thought the trailer was great. I found the actors exceptional (…) Laurent Lafitte plays what he was asked to play very well”he continues.

“I think the choice to make fiction is a shame. There was so much richness in my father’s life, without making anything false. Reality is better than fiction. There, whoever is going to watch the series, does notwill have never if it’s something that happened or not”affirms Laurent Tapie. It took more than ten years for the series to see the light of day. The director is none other than Tristan Séguéla, son of Bernard Tapie’s best friend. “I find that Tristan’s approach to seizing of the subject and doing it is an entrepreneurial approach. Where I was upset was the darting. I like it when things are cleares”concludes the son of Bernard Tapie.
