Montreal | A young indigenous woman goes missing

Montreal police are asking for the public’s help to find a 15-year-old indigenous woman who has been missing for almost a month.


Kirshner Uqaituk, 15, was last seen on August 17 at Laurier Park in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough. She then wore a camisole and shorts.

The young woman weighs around 55 kg, has long black hair and green eyes and speaks French and English.

According to investigators, who fear for her safety, she could frequent the city center, Place Alexis-Nihon or First Nations centers.

Anyone with information to communicate regarding this disappearance can do so by calling 911 or by contacting their local post.
