The minister has in fact planned a press conference “concerning the provision of care and services in the Montreal region and surrounding areas.”
For the occasion, he will be accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Rosemont, Vincent Marissal, as well as the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante.
Remember that the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital modernization project would increase the capacity of the hospital infrastructure, which would increase from 544 to 720 beds.
The project is estimated at $2.5 billion. The first shoveling of the ground could take place in 2024, but no precise timetable has yet been revealed.
According to information obtained by TVA Nouvelles, a new Montreal hospital building could be built in place of a parking space located to the east of the main pavilion and to the south of the Pensionnat Notre-Dame-des-Anges.
