Montreal | Two suspects arrested in connection with homicides

The first investigation concerns the murder of a 27-year-old man committed inside a garage at a residence in Lachine, which occurred in early September. The SPVM Major Crimes Section arrested Everette Roger Clayton, 55, on Wednesday, accused of contempt of a corpse.

This is the fourth arrest made in the context of this investigation. In Anjou, Oscar Nelson Gonzales, 70, was arrested in connection with an arson in a retirement home, which caused the death of a resident. The suspect lived in the same building located at the intersection of boulevards Joseph-Renaud and Yves-Prévost. Oscar Nelson Gonzales is charged with manslaughter and arson.

The two apprehended suspects are due to appear at the Montreal courthouse by the end of the day. In 2021, 34 homicides occurred in Montreal.
