CF Montreal: Kwadwo Opoku already obtains a new pact

Recently obtained via a transaction with Los Angeles FC, striker Kwadwo Opoku has signed a contract valid until the end of the 2026 season with CF Montreal.

This is what the Major League Soccer (MLS) club announced on Monday. The agreement also includes an option for the 2027 campaign.

CF Montreal obtained the so-called “Mahala” in return for a general allocation amount of $1.65 million in 2023 and a general allocation amount of $100,000 in 2024.

Since arriving in Montreal on July 5, Opoku has had two starts and played 121 minutes. He also scored a goal in a 2-0 win over Charlotte FC.

The 21-year-old won the 2022 MLS Cup with LAFC. In three and a half seasons with the Californian club, the Ghanaian played 60 regular season games, including 35 starts, and 3254 minutes of play, collecting nine goals and seven assists.
