Warner Bros is considering postponing the release of Dune 2 to 2024

The strike of Hollywood actors and screenwriters could lead to many postponements of film releases scheduled for the fall, including Dune, part two.

According to information obtained by the magazine variety According to three sources at Warner Bros, the producer plans to postpone the release of the film directed by Denis Villeneuve to next year, instead of November 3.

The feature stars, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin leading the way, can’t promote Villeneuve’s work until the strike is settled, and WB doesn’t believe it will be until the fall.

In such a context, the producer would try to delay the release for a few months. Other films slated for release by the end of the year could also see their release pushed back to next year, including The Color Purple (due out December 20) and Aquaman 2 (December 25th).
