Recognized for his album of compositions “for plants and the people who love them” (Mother Earth’s Plantasia, 1976), New Brunswicker Mort Garson (1924-2008), pioneer of electronic music, is the subject of a new compilation of recordings rescued from his drawers. Through these sketches of pub music and TV show themes with whimsical and psychedelic Perrey-Kingsley melodies, Garson reveals himself to be a formidable arranger who knew how to get the most out of the Moog synthesizer, which he was one of the first to adopt. More than six minutes of music from the future, Garson reproducing the sound of the takeoff of the shuttle, its long space journey, the risky maneuver to the lunar soil!
