Actor Ary Abittan is no longer indicted for rape, he has been placed under the status of assisted witness, franceinfo learned on Wednesday July 19 from the Paris prosecutor’s office confirming information from the Parisian.
The actor made famous by the hit saga “What did we do to God” at the cinema was indicted in November 2021 after being placed in police custody at the end of October of the same year in the first district of the Paris judicial police. A woman with whom the then 47-year-old actor had casual relationships had filed a complaint against him.
The magistrate issued his order on Wednesday, “in accordance with the requisitions of the public prosecutor’s office and granting the request for the granting of the status of assisted witness“, specifies the parquet floor of Paris.
