Mathieu Joseph scored at 3:25 in overtime and the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Tuesday.

Victor Hedman and Taylor Raddysh pulled off the winning club’s other goals.

Author of a pass, Steven Stamkos approached a point of the 900 career point.

Andrei Vasilevskiy blocked 28 shots for the Lightning, who will host the Senators on Thursday.

Absent for 12 games (upper body), Brayden Point has resumed training this week, albeit without contact.

On the sidelines for 25 games (lower body), Nikita Kucherov is skating with the coaches, but he will not return to the game until the start of 2022.

Drew Doughty and Viktor Arvidsson fought back for the Kings, while Jonathan Quick made 27 saves.

Anze Kopitar scored an assist. He is one assist from joining Wayne Gretzky (672) for second in Kings history in this regard.

Pacioretty and Golden Knights defeat Bruins

Max Pacioretty scores twice and hits the mark in a seventh consecutive game to allow the Las Vegas Golden Knights to win by a 4-1 mark against the Boston Bruins, diminished by COVID-19, on Tuesday night.

The former CH has 12 goals in his last 11 meetings.

Robin Lehner stopped 23 shots for the Golden Knights, who have now won five of their last six games.

Jonathan Marchessault moved the strings with 0.6 seconds remaining in the first period to send the Bruins into the first intermission to the boos of the home crowd (their favorites lost 3-0).

Shea Theodore was the other goalscorer for the Nevada roster.

Patrice Bergeron scored the Bruins’ lone goal 21 seconds after the start of the third period.

By this time, the Golden Knights had beaten Jeremy Swayman four times. The Bruins goaltender repelled 21 shots.

Senators correct Panthers

Josh Norris and Nick Brown scored braces on Tuesday, helping the Ottawa Senators win 8-2 over the Florida Panthers.

The Panthers hadn’t suffered such a stinging setback at home since Jan. 26, 2013 (a 7-1 loss to the Flyers).

Drake Batherson had one goal and two assists.

Other scorers for the Senators were Tim Stutzle, Dylan Gambrell and Austin Watson, who have lost just once in their last six games.

Connor Brown provided three assists and Anton Forsberg blocked 33 shots, only yielding to Jonathan Huberdeau and Sam Reinhart.

Spencer Knight has been beaten eight times in 38 shots.

The Panthers had a 0 for 6 performance on the power play.

Anthony Duclair returned to the game after eight games of absence (lower body).
