Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were the most influential couple on the planet … until they broke up! Ye (the rapper’s new name) still has every intention of winning back his ex-wife. The latter is however determined to start a new life, without him.
Indeed, Kim no longer wishes to be married! She expressed this desire by asking for her maiden name (Kim Kardashian) to be restored, thus getting rid of the name Kim Kardashian West. She drives the point home in a document dated November 24, 2021, published by TMZ. The superstar reveals to have solicited her husband on several occasions for a divorce settled quickly and amicably.
[Kanye] and I both deserve the chance to build new lives.
“Irreconcilable disputes have existed and remain between the defendant [Kanye West, NDLR] and me, and caused the irreparable end of our marriage. To date, no advice or attempt at reconciliation will be of use, writes Kim Kardashian. The defendant will not suffer any harm if our marriage is dissolved immediately, especially since we have entered into a marriage contract and have kept our property separate.“
She adds : “I tried to settle our divorce since I made the request, in February 2021. I have asked the defendant several times to end our marital status. The defendant did not respond to my request. The Respondent and I both deserve the chance to build new lives. I therefore ask that the termination of our marital status be granted.“
For his part, Ye keeps insisting that he wants to reform his family. On December 9, he again appealed to Kim Kardashian during a charity concert at the Los Angeles Coliseum. “I need you to come back to me, KimberlyKim attended, with their children North and Saint (8 and 6 years old).
In love with Kim Kardashian for many years, Kanye West had managed to seduce her in 2012. Their love affair materialized the following year, in 2013, with the birth of their eldest daughter, North. The two exes were then engaged on October 20, 2013, the date of Kim’s birthday, then married on May 24, 2014 in Florence, Italy. They then welcomed three more children, Saint, Chicago and Psalm (6, 3 and 2 years old).
Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce on February 19, confirming a persistent rumor that they were inevitably breaking up.
