Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension | A young man injured in a fight

(Montreal) A 19-year-old young man had to be taken to hospital following a fight involving several people which degenerated overnight from Friday to Saturday in the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc- Extension, in Montreal.


The conflict took place around 3:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of boulevard Crémazie Est and 13e avenue in the Saint-Michel district. At that time, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) received a call reporting a fight involving “various individuals”.

Upon arrival at the scene, police assisted a 19-year-old man with a possible stab wound to the upper body.

The injured man was conscious when transported to hospital and his life would not be in danger.

“The reasons that led to this armed attack are unknown. A crime scene has therefore been established in order to allow our SPVM investigators to travel there to carry out a complete analysis and try to understand the circumstances surrounding this event”, mentioned agent Julien Lévesque, who is word of the Montreal police force.

No arrests had been made in this case early Saturday morning, but the SPVM’s investigation work was still in progress.
