All the Festival d’été de Québec shows scheduled for Thursday, including the highly anticipated Cowboys Fringants, had to be canceled due to weather conditions deteriorating “faster than expected”, the organization announced on Facebook.
“A major weather system” being expected in the early evening in Quebec, the organizers have urged festival-goers to head towards the exit of the site to take shelter.
Popular Australian singer Vance Joy was expected on stage at 8 p.m. The SYML group, Elliot Maginot, Choses sauvage and Alaclair Ensemble were also scheduled to perform in the evening.
