More than 2,300 grams of heroin and a few grams of cocaine were seized during two residence searches carried out over the past two weeks in the Chomedey sector, in Laval.
The searches were carried out as part of an investigation into an individual linked to a criminal network and who would be involved in the distribution of these drugs, the Laval Police Service (SPL) said in a press release on Thursday.

“During the investigation, the SPL was able to establish that the suspect was acting as a supplier for drug sellers who had an established clientele,” it said.
In addition to the record amount of 2355.06 grams of heroin, 21.75 grams of cocaine were also found with edged weapons.

The total of the seizure is estimated at nearly $200,000, according to the police.
