With “Space adventure”, the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne, opens its doors to children from priority neighborhoods. They observed the stars during one night.

Families spent the night at the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) to observe the stars. Budding astronomers discovered the robots sent to Mars. The children participate in the “Space adventure” program of the Cité de l’Espace. The families selected come from the priority neighborhoods of Toulouse, and everything is financed by the European Space Agency.

Amazed children

The idea is to open our door to them, and we hope a little to arouse curiosity, and perhaps to arouse vocations.“, says Vanille Delfau, education manager at the Cité de l’espace. Before immersing themselves in the Toulouse night sky, the children review their constellations at the planetarium. After 10 p.m., they can observe the stars. One of the children goes sleeping, amazed by her day.”It was great, what I liked the most was when we saw the constellations“, she confides.
