Laid off on December 5, after the defeat of the Greens 5-0 against Rennes, Claude Puel is no longer the general manager and trainer of AS Saint-Étienne. In a press release the club talks about a decision found “from a common agreement.”
Claude Puel was the manager of the Greens since October 2019. He was in the hot seat since the start of the 2021-2022 season, catastrophic in Ligue 1 for AS Saint-Étienne.
In all likelihood, it is Pascal Dupraz, former coach of Caen, Toulouse, and Évian-Thonon-Gaillard, who should take over after a few days of interim provided by Julien Sablé. Interim which ended with a correction in Reims on the score of 2 to zero.
