(Grand-Remous) A man fell into the water late Saturday afternoon while he was on a boat at the Baskatong reservoir, in the municipality of Grand-Remous, in the Outaouais region.
Around 4:30 p.m., the emergency services were called to go to the Baskatong reservoir, in the Pointe à David sector.
The man was on board a motor boat with about ten people. It is not known if he was wearing a life jacket.
“Research is underway Saturday evening to locate this person,” said Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
A boat from the SQ and firefighters are carrying out searches on the body of water and on the banks. SQ divers are expected Sunday morning for further research.
