France Assureurs invites its members to extend the claim declaration period to 30 days

A claim declaration to be made quickly

France Assureurs announced on Tuesday a series of measures to “to accompany” THE “insured persons whose personal and professional property has suffered damage“, following the urban violence that occurred in many cities in France.

Among the measures that France Assureurs invites its members to take, the extension “up to 30 days” the time limit for reporting the claim, “generally set at 5 days in insurance contracts“. It also encourages insurers to “reduce the effect” of the “contractual franchises” of the “small independent traders hardest hit by this urban violence“.
