Ecology, feminism and … stories from grandmothers! It is the triptych of the reflection of the podcast “Granny in the nettles“born in 2019 at the initiative of Marion de Boüard and Heloise Pierre.
Together, the two women tried to better understand the political upheavals and societal by relying on women’s stories having grown up in the second half of the 20th century. Co-founder of the podcast, Marion de Boüard is the guest of It’s already tomorrow.
The podcast polls life changes brought by the opening of womens rights : the vote, financial independence or abortion.
These tilts for a better world and more egalitarian are now recorded on the reel and then shared, as a trace of the past which allows you to remember and also to think about the importance of struggles for the rights of women carried out, but also the primordiality of coming fights.
A story of transmission
The grandmothers are transmission beings, and not just recipes. They are witnesses of a post-war story and have many stories to transmit, often accompanied by values who long for freedom.
The grandmothers give us their vision of history. Listening to them today is a chance for all that allows us to highlight their speeches and their stories which have too often been overlooked, even invisible.
