Iconic cinema objects sold at auction

Nearly 1,500 objects, mostly from great classics of American cinema, are auctioned from Wednesday to Friday as part of a gigantic sale organized by Propstore Auction in Los Angeles.

Among the lots that found takers on Wednesday was a replica of the car of Back to the future ($200,000), the suit worn by Michael Keaton in Return of Batman ($110,000), Mel Gibson’s sword in Brave Heart ($70,000) and an armor he wore in that same movie ($40,000).

However, collectors have turned their noses up at the Patpod, the iconic motorcycle in Batman, whose value was estimated between 1 and 2 million dollars. They can fall back on the dress worn by actress Carrie Fisher in the saga Star Warsone of the most prominent lots at this auction, which would also be worth between 1 and 2 million.

Harry Potter fans can get a costume of their hero worn by Daniel Radcliffe, a wand wielded by the latter, and even his letter of admission to Hogwarts. Those from titanic, a dress worn by Kate Winslet. If you prefer horror, there is a pretty doll seen in Poltergeistin 1982, which could be worth up to $400,000, or even, more soberly, a Chucky doll costume valued at a few thousand dollars.

Auctions take place in person, but also on the Propstore Auction website.
