April 20, 2018 marks a very sad day for the music industry. It was on this date that the famous Swedish producer, musician and disc jockey, Avicii, ended his life at only 28 years old. “He was disturbed by his thoughts about the meaning of life and happiness. He couldn’t go on like this. He wanted to find peace”confided his family in a statement released after his death.
According to the most sordid details, Avicii allegedly smashed a bottle of wine before slitting the veins in his neck and wrists. His body, lifeless, would have been found a few hours later in his room. In the years preceding his death, the artist had encountered serious health problems, in particular pancreatitis linked to heavy alcohol consumption.
