More than 17,000 new Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in a year in a program led by the United Kingdom as part of its support for Kiev in the face of the Russian invasion, British Defense announced on Monday (June 26th). The program, intended for recruits with little or no military experience, consists of providing at least five weeks of training, including weapons handling, first aid, law of war, patrol tactics and training in rural environment. Wagner’s forces withdraw from Russia. The fighters of the paramilitary group left on Sunday the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions, south of Moscow, according to local authorities. They had started their withdrawal the day before, to avoid spilling “Russian blood”in the words of Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Moscow remains on anti-terror vigilance. Despite the failure of Wagner’s attempted rebellion, the “anti-terrorist operation regime” remains in force in the Russian capital and its region. Large police patrols are deployed along the road leading to the exit of the city, and Monday will be a day off.
kyiv claims advances in Bakhmout. The Ukrainian army advanced slightly south and north of the city, up to a kilometer, a spokesman told the Kyiv IndependentSunday.
