He recorded his pleadings Monday morning at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse, the same day the trial was due to begin.
The guilty pleas – on counts of assault, death threats and mischief, including destruction of property – followed a deal reached Thursday with the Crown that agreed to stay proceedings on the other four. charges facing Bryan McCormick.

The acts with which he is accused began in 2019 and continued after the birth of their child in July 2020.
He recognized the gestures and his guilt.
Neither Mr. McCormick nor Ms. Rioux were present at the courthouse Monday morning. They both followed the hearing remotely by videoconference.
It remains to determine the sentence that will be imposed: the lawyers will make their pleadings on this subject on May 30.
