17 arrested in police raid on cocaine traffickers

After the searches, the arrests. The police handcuffed Thursday morning to 17 suspects suspected of being involved in a vast drug trafficking network active in the greater metropolitan area.

This series of arrests follows searches carried out in November 2021 and March 2022 as part of the same investigation carried out by the Regional Mixed Squad (ERM) Rive-Nord.

During these searches, the police were able to seize astronomical quantities of narcotics, firearms and various pieces of evidence which made it possible to expand the evidence against the targeted suspects.

During the investigation, the police were able to seize more than 104 kg of cocaine, nearly 41 kg of cannabis, a few thousand methamphetamine tablets, eight firearms, two silencers, magazines, nearly of $200,000 in cash and eight Rolex watches, the total value of which is approximately $147,000.

The suspects arrested in this strike are Martin Dazé, 36; Timothy Taylor, 44; Patrick Briere, 46 years old; Marc-André Joannette-Casimir, 40; Danny Legault, 50; Damien Neron-Lacroix, 32 years old; Marc-André Hamel, 36; Henriette Aoun Abou-Arrage, 70; Roula Barak, 50; Samira Oarab, 41; Ghizlane Ouarab, 38; Abdelilah Et-Taib, 26; Konstantinos Stathopoulos, 31; Luis-David Roy-De-Rodriguez, 30; Cedrik Cazzetta-Parent, 30; Christian Rufiange, 39, and Sandra Abou-Arrage, 42.

Police have yet to arrest Steve Abou-Arrage, 51, and Andy Abou-Arrage, 30, who are still wanted on an arrest warrant.

All of the pinned suspects were due to appear Thursday at the Laval courthouse on various narcotics and firearms charges, after which they were to be released on conditions.

More than 80 police officers from various units of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and the municipal police services concerned were on the ground Thursday.
