The dissolution of the environmental collective “Uprisings of the Earth” was recorded on Wednesday June 21, in the Council of Ministers. This decision provoked strong reactions, in particular from activists.
In Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), as in a hundred cities in France, supporters come together on Wednesday June 21 to support the “Earth Uprisings”, an ecological group dissolved in the Council of Ministers. The act too many for the executive was the destruction of the experimental plantations in Loire-Atlantique. Before, there was the violence of Saint Solinein March.
An appeal to the Council of State
“It is not freedom of expression or freedom of demonstration that is in question. Nor are ideas sanctioned. It is the repeated use of violence against property, against people.explained Olivier Véran, the government spokesman. However, the leaders of the collective do not intend to stop their actions. Florian Robinthe collective’s spokesperson, assures: “What the government is trying to do is muzzle the political opposition. […] We will continue to defend the land. We will continue to defend water.“
The group has announced an appeal to the Council of State.
